Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is a well-known American after winning American Idol's first season. It was not just the victory that brought Kelly Clarkson's name to the forefront, it also landed her an arrangement to RCA Records 19 Recordings & 'S Records for a number of albums. She has since released numerous studio albums. 3 of these reached the US Billboard 200 chart, while others narrowly missed it. She is among the top artists to have emerged from American Idol. In order to achieve success, she tried out different genres of music and experimented with topics. Because of her distinctness and ability as a performer her work was recognized by reviewers and was awarded a couple of important awards. Notably, she's won the Grammy Award a record three times. She has also appeared in television and films. She has also written her children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and been involved in various charities.
