Amber Benson bio
Amber Benson is a talented American actress who has worked as a singer, writer as well as director and producer. Most well-known is her being the character Tara Maclay from the TV Series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Benson is also the director of her own films Chance, Lovers Liars & Lunatics and was the main actress in these films. Also, she was in the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on January 8, 1977 in Birmingham Alabama, daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson psychiatrist. Benson has a younger sister Danielle Benson, who works as an artist. His father was Jewish while her mother born and raised in the state of Alabama. Southern Baptist Benson grew up attending a Reform synagogue located in Alabama. After Buffy came to an end, Benson was in films such as The Killing Jar and on shows like Morganville The Series. Behind the camera Benson utilized her creative talents to develop The Ghosts of Albion television series. In 2010 she directed Drones. Buffy states that, after taking the time to count and find them she found at least 1800 Slayers around the globe, of which 500 are associated with the Scooby Gang. They are now able to awaken as Slayers as they mature to a suitable level such as Slayer Soledad. Slayer Soledad was awakened on her sixteenth birthday. Ruth Connell has been cast as Rowena for Season 10 Supernatural. It seems that she is the mysterious old-school witch.
